The Truth About Behavior: New Insights from

Recent Brain Research

Have you ever wondered what you can do to increase your focus at work? Would you like to increase your willpower in order to make a personal change? Have you ever had to lead a change at work and found it harder to get others to change their behavior than you thought it would be (even when you are faithfully using Tom Gilbert’s model)? Recent research on the brain and how it works may provide some insights into these challenges. We have learned more about the brain and how it works in the past 15 years than in the rest of history!

During this session we will explore some of the latest findings from neuroscience and how to apply these to increase our personal effectiveness as well as how to apply this knowledge to increase the effectiveness of our learning and performance work.

Come to this session and learn about the primary organizing principle of the brain, three main areas of the brain and how they work to shape behavior, and how to apply these new findings and insights to a challenge that you are working on. We will also look at some examples of how some companies are using brain science to encourage employees to take micro-actions that can assist with big behavior changes.
