Game Theory: How We Make Decisions and Why We May Make Illogical Choices

Game theory is a mathematical and economic model that helps show logically why we make the decisions that we do (or shows us why we may make illogical decisions). Game theory uses non-work examples to help drive home the point as to how game theory works. After that, the discussion turns to how game theory impacts us every day in the office and in our personal lives. One takeaway in the end is to challenge the group to make decisions that benefit the group, rather than us as an individual. It may seem that it is easy to make these decisions, but game theory shows us how we really put up silos and make decisions for ourselves.
