Volunteer Opportunities

A great way to support your N.E.W. ATD Chapter is to get involved with committees – and we are in the process of creating some!  Each committee will be led by a Director who works with committee members on special events or projects.  Below are summaries of the committees we hope to utilize in now and in the future.  We hope that you consider supporting the N.E.W. ATD by "getting involved" as a committee member.

Program Committee

A Program Committee is vital to the success of our chapter. The committee would work to plan our monthly programs by coordinating topics, speakers, venues, prizes, food, and more.  Program Committee participants also assist with monitoring attendance and collecting payment for programs. The success of our Program Committee is dependent on providing value added events that positively affect our learning and development members today.  The Program Committee would meet regularly throughout the year, as programs needs require and committee members deem appropriate.

Membership Committee

The N.E.W. ATD Membership Committee would work to provide the first and lasting impression on new and veteran members. A Membership Committee is responsible for on-boarding all new members and ensuring that all expiring memberships are not lost or forgotten by maintaining timely and effective communications regarding membership, as well as the benefits of maintaining membership with our chapter.  The Membership Committee would meet periodically to create membership packets and discuss new and exciting ways to keep members engaged.

Communications Committee

The N.E.W. ATD Communications Committee participants would be responsible for communicating to members and the general public regarding promotions for N.E.W. ATD, writing newsletter articles for the development of our quarterly newsletter, providing content for the website, updating the N.E.W. ATD  brochure.  The Communications Committee meets on a regular basis to review the essential communications for each program, employee learning week, newsletter articles and much more.

If you wish to participate on any of these committees, contact the President Elect
